Tree removal in Central Texas? Please, tell me about it!

If you know of a tree that is coming down in the Austin area, please let me know about it. Please include info on location, approximate size, date coming down, and the tree service you are working with.

I do not cut down trees in residential areas, but I can and have worked with numerous local tree companies to remove trunks after they are cut.

A dead post oak in Central Austin. I personally worked with the homeowner in finding a tree company that would come out and cut the tree in large sections so that it could be safely felled, hauled away, and milled.

What happens to trees that are cut down?

What happens to trees taken down when trees are removed from urban lots, or when land is developed? Most of the time, they are burned or mulched. With your help, I can work directly with tree crews or developers to help haul the tree away and give it a new life as a usable material!
